We’ll also make a brief stop at Kharcham Dam to admire its impressive engineering and grab some lunch at Wangtoo Village nearby. After a day of touring various locations on the way, we’ll arrive in Sangla by evening.

Day 5 Kalpa to Tabo (160 Kms, 9 hrs)

But the highlight of the journey will be a stop at Gue Village, where you can witness a 500-year-old monk’s mummy in a monastery. It’s a fascinating and unique experience that you won’t want to miss.
Once we arrive in Tabo, we’ll check into our booked accommodation and rest for the night. The next day, we’ll explore the Tabo monastery before heading towards Kaza. Get ready for an unforgettable journey filled with history, culture, and stunning landscapes.

Day 6 Tabo to Kaza (49 kms, 2 hrs)

Get ready for an exciting day as you head towards Kaza from Tabo, making a stop at Dhankar Village on the way. Dhankar Monastery is a marvel of ancient architecture, precariously located between the cliffs, overlooking the gorge.
After exploring the monastery, continue towards Kaza, and check into the hotel upon arrival. If time permits, you can visit the Key Monastery and Kibber Village.
The Key Monastery is a significant center of Buddhist learning and houses rare scriptures, murals, and artifacts. Kibber Village is one of the highest inhabited villages in the world and offers breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains.

Day 8 Kaza to Chandratal Lake (130 km, 5-6 hrs)

To reach the enchanting Chandratal, we will pass through the Kunzum Pass and make our way to Batal. From there, a specialized vehicle with 4-wheel drive will take us to the lake. We will make a stopover at Lossar before continuing on the treacherous path to the lake, expertly navigated by experienced drivers.
When we finally reach the lake, it will feel like we have arrived in heaven on earth. The turquoise water of the lake is so beautiful, it’s hard to believe it’s real. The surrounding snow-capped peaks only enhance the stunning scenery.

Day 9 Chandratal Lake To Keylong (90 km, 5-6 hrs)

Day 12 Manali to Chandigarh (310 km, 09-10 hrs)
